My Favorite Poem

I'm not sure what my favorite poem is. I almost never read poetry. I like a lot of Edgar Allen Poe, but I only read his short stories. If I had to narrow it down, I would choose something an author that I like said. One that isn't necessarily a poet. For example, there's one of Lemony Snicket's final dedications to Beatrice in "A Series of Unfortunate Events: The End"

"I cherished, you perished,
the world's been nightmarished."


Or perhaps, the more subtle, almost rhythmic genius of Orson Scott Card:

"Cover your butt. Bernard is watching.
-GOD"
